Who We Are
Directed and managed by Vern Tegger and all members of the group, the South Bay Trombone Choir consists of trombone players throughout the San Francisco Bay area. We have a variety of skill sets, from beginners to professionals to band directors (they're in a category all their own, you know).
We play anything that is written for trombone choir or has been arranged for a trombone group, dating from the 1400's on. In our book we have jazz, marches, classical, polka, children's, ragtime, etc. With a handful of knowledgable composers/arrangers, we have taken many pieces we enjoy listening to and arranging them for our group. We've even jazzed up a few classics like Rubber Ducky and Carol of the Bells at Christmas time.
We rehearse every Thursday at Westmont High School, 4805 Westmont Ave. in Campbell, from 7:30 to 9:30 in the band room. Park in the front of the school and walk towards the back of the quad until you see the band room or hear trombones playing. If you get lost, ask a custodian, they know us.
Bring your bone and your chops and be ready to have fun.
